Organisation:
'Quakers in Yorkshire' is the new name for the umbrella body formerly
known as 'Yorkshire General Meeting'.
This gathers quarterly, mainly to discuss items of religious and social
interest.
The Yorkshire region is divided into 7 'Area Meetings'.
These meet most months, mainly to discuss matters of local business.
The basic organisational unit is the Local Meeting which meets regularly
for worship and other activities. Typically about 6 Local Meetings
will belong to each Area Meeting.
Below are given lists of which Local Meetings belong to which Area Meeting
together with email and website addresses for the Area Meetings, where these exist.
A map of all the local meetings in Yorkshire can be seen
here.
Clicking a pin or name on the map will give details of when are where meetings are
held.
